We’re delighted to announce that due to popular demand we now offer cupcake decorating workshops. In each class you will receive four vanilla and four chocolate cupcakes. Six of these delicious little treats can be taken home in a presentation gift box. The extra two can be used for practise (and nibbling on throughout the class!)

What you will learn:

• We’ll teach you how to make our yummy buttercream frosting and a variety of ways of piping onto your cupcake to achieve different effects.
• Learn how to use fondant to cover your cupcakes for a smooth, elegant finish.
• Use tools to emboss your cakes for decorative effect.
• Learn how to use tools, cutters and moulds to create beautiful and edible flowers and decorations.
• You will also receive recipe cards so you can bake your own cupcakes at home. There’s probably no nicer a way to spend a lazy Sunday than nibbling on cakes, making sugar decorations and no doubt getting icing sugar in your hair – we would love to see you there!

We’re really excited to be returning to this year’s MOBO Awards as their Official Cake Supplier. We’ve got hundreds of cakepops, cupcakes, brownies and other sweet treats to make for October 5th so the next week will be busy! We’ll be backstage, keeping everyone’s sugar cravings satisfied and will be tweeting from the event. Follow us @lilcakeparlour to get the latest goings on!

We’re always experimenting with new flavours and ideas in our kitchen so have decided to start Flavour of the Month. Each month we’ll have a special cupcake which will be available to order and will make an appearance in the shop each week.

These new cupcakes will be available for a limited time only, but depending on popularity they may have another shot in the limelight (so if you have a favourite do let us know!)

December – Gingerbread

Ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg spiced cupcakes with warming cinnamon frosting and topped with mini gingerbread men sprinkles.

We were so excited to be featured on one of our favourite wedding blogs Style Me Pretty as part of the photography gallery from Lisa and Anthony’s wedding last summer. We had a brilliant day on Sunday at The Glasgow Girls Wedding Fayre. Big thanks to everyone who stopped by our stall for a chat and some cake and also to the team at The Glasgow Girls Wedding Guide who did a fantastic job organising the event.

We had a prize draw to win your wedding cake which many of you entered on the day. Congratulations go to Heather Greenwood whose name was first out the hat this morning!

The easiest way is to call us on 0141 636 0808 to place your order – we accept most credit cards (not American Express)

For international customers, you can email us with your order request and we can send a paypal request for payment – this saves you an international phonecall and paypal keeps your details secure. You do not need to have a paypal account for this service.

Remember to let us know the following:

* flavour of cake (Our everyday flavours are vanilla bean, raspberry ripple, chocolate caramel, lemon curd, marshmallow and cookies and cream, but please let us know if you’d like anything different! At weekends we’ll have some other flavours too, so you can always take a mix of what we’re baking on the day)
